HOW THE SIMULATOR WORKS
  1. Copy and paste your program in the display window — or tap F1 · LOAD to open a program file from your device (Notepad .txt, .nc and friends), tap F8 for the demo program, or type with the control's keys.
  2. The feed override wheel starts at 120% on its own. Press the green CYCLE START and your cutting feeds run 20% faster than programmed — at 100% the estimate runs your program exactly as written. Turn the wheel down for a safer pass or up to speed up — it only scales cutting feeds, rapids stay at full speed.
  3. Set the rapid rate and tool-change seconds under the control if yours are different.
  4. Your estimate lands under the control: total cycle time, the cutting / rapids / dwell / tool-change split, per-tool times and the travel envelope. It is an estimate — the real machine will differ somewhat.
  5. Press F2 · GRAPH to watch the toolpath. After CYCLE START it plays on its own, paced by your feed override — turn the dial while it plays and the cutting moves speed up or slow down live (rapids never change); the time up top follows the dial, and running CYCLE START again locks the new pace into your estimate. Press CYCLE START while you are on the program screen and the code runs right there instead — the axes readout under the screen tracks X · Y · Z while the current line lights up and scrolls along. The jog wheel and jog +/− step block by block, and the spindle keys play it back (CSS = play/pause, +/− = speed).
  6. Turn on F7 · BLOCK and every press of CYCLE START steps the graph one block at a time — the current move lights up and its program line shows under the drawing.
  7. The blue stripe under ISO PROGRAM — and the matching one over the graph — posts your program's (MSG"...") labels as the run reaches them, so operator messages like (MSG"CYCLE START") read right on the control.
  8. The jog keys also type on the screen: pick an axis, tap jog + or −, and a G0 line appears with the value rising or falling from 0. ZERO and RESET beside the jog dial spin the wheel back to zero.
  9. The big red NC RESET button beside CYCLE START clears the program off the screen, brings the feed override back to 120% and lights MANUAL — CYCLE START lights AUTO, and F6 · UNDO brings the cleared program right back. The RESET key on the number pad does the same job. ENTER on the pad starts a new line, BKSP deletes, and the HELP key beside the screen opens this card.
  10. Download report at bottom! The gold Save report as PDF button under your results saves a one-page report of the run.
  11. More keys that work: F3 · SCREEN jumps back to the program screen, F4 · MDI flashes the jog controls under the panel, F5 · LINE highlights the current program line, and F6 · UNDO takes back key edits — even a clear or an NC RESET. EXEC points at F1 · LOAD — your program starts as a file there.
  12. SPIN and F/O in the mode row point at the panel under the screen: SPIN flashes the Spindle box and F/O flashes the Feed override dial — handy for finding the control you want fast.
  13. Moving in the text: ↑ ↓ go line by line, HOME takes you to the very top of the program, END drops you at the very bottom of the program, and RECALL brings back the last program you ran. CAPS locks capital letters for the control's keys, and SHIFT turns the next key into a special letter — Ñ Á É Í Ó Ú ¿ ¡ — so you can type Señor. The .001–100 numbers under the jog wheel set the jog step size, and ~ is rapid jog — jog +/− then moves ×10.
  14. UTILITIES pops up a working calculator — its INSERT RESULT button drops the answer into your program right at the cursor.
  15. Graph views live on the side keys: F9 · TOP, F10 · FRONT (X–Z), F11 · SIDE (Y–Z), F12 · ISO 3D — tap one with the graph open and the toolpath redraws from that side. The control remembers your view.
  16. TOOLS (mode row) opens the G-code Generator in its own window — face, pockets and drilling patterns from simple forms, or read the numbers off a PDF print — then send the program straight back here to check it. 2D DRAW (mode row) opens the 2D drafting studio — draw lines, rectangles, circles, arcs and splines, measure them, open DXF drawings and program files, save your drawing as a DXF, and send it straight to the generator.
  17. MODIFY (mode row) sends the program on the screen back to the G-code Generator — modify it in the Your program window there, save your changes, then open it in the simulator to bring it back here.
  18. ZOOM zooms the graph: tap it to step in closer — the view follows the tool as it cuts — and keep tapping to come back out to the full view. A mouse wheel zooms too. With the graph closed, ZOOM just puts the cursor back in the program.
  19. MAIN MENU (mode row) is the simulator's home screen — big X · Y · Z · B · C position numbers like the real control, with the tool, spindle and feed under them, and the simulator opens on the ESC logo screen, so tap MAIN MENU to land here. Pick an axis and jog +/− and the big numbers move; ZERO beside the jog dial zeroes them. Run a program and the numbers follow the cut. F3 · SCREEN brings the program back. ESC on the number pad shows the logo screen — the NCPro-Training logo over the simulator software version, like the real control standing by — MAIN MENU brings the position screen back, and the EDIT key under ENTER opens the notepad editor, and SIM above RESET flashes F2 · GRAPH.
  20. NEW FILE (side key) opens the notepad loaded with the PRO-TEMPLATE — fill in the job header, the tool chamber and your trim codes, then SAVE TO SCREEN and run it with CYCLE START. SAVE AS in the notepad downloads the file to your device as a .PIM file under a name you choose.
Tip: press Esc to close this card.

Paste a program on the screen (or tap the control's keys), set the feed override wheel, then press the green CYCLE START. The override scales cutting feeds only — rapids stay at full speed, just like the real control. Run a program and press F2 · GRAPH to draw its toolpath — the jog wheel and jog +/− step block by block, and the spindle keys play it back (CSS = play/pause, +/− = speed). The jog keys also type on the screen: pick an axis (X, Y, Z, or 4/5/6 for A/B/C), then tap jog + or − and a G0 line appears with that axis value rising or falling from 0. ZERO and RESET beside the jog dial spin the wheel back to zero. Free from NCPro/Training.
